I’m Deborah Yates, an elected member of the Waitemata Local Board and the WLB’s representative on the GLBA’s Board (not a voting member). I have lived and worked in and around Grey Lynn for 15 years and more and love the energy here. I have a background in social work, family therapy and social justice issues and have been self-employed as a social researcher and policy consultant.
I share the community development and natural environment portfolios on the Waitemata Local Board, and hold the children and youth and civil defence sub-portfolios. I’m passionate about working collectively towards a sustainable and ethical future, in business and government.
